God has taught from the beginning that homosexuality / Lesbianism is an unhealthy and destructive life style...something that psychology and statistics back up more with each day. That is why He wanted to spare those who would be tempted to enter in to it, from it. Having friends who are trapped in that life style I can testify to the same thing. They are not happy people, and the things they are doing within that life style to find happiness are very "unhealthy".

I have read some of the findings that those behind the gay agenda are using to say "this shows that homosexuality is something you are born with". I have also read the findings that say their so called evidence is a bunch of hooey. What it boils down to is there is no definitive proof any where to give credibility to the claim you are born gay. Having said that, if is important to keep in mind that God tells us to love the sinner, but hate the sin. God is not interested in condemning, though He will if He's forced to, as He is freeing and healing. He also doen't look at that sin any differently then he does our "little white lies", or *** outside of marriage, or any other sin. Sin is all the same in His eyes, there are no classifications. That means my sin is no better and no worse in God's eyes, then anybody else's sin. Making me no better and no worse in His eyes.

I don't believe that scripture states that a homosexual is not equal in any way. It's the act, not the person. Jesus hates the act not the person. Homosexuality is an abomination, and an act against God's teachings.

God is not amused with homosexuals, which is evident with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Yeah, I seriously doubt that He cares about that. But obviously He cares enough to let you know what pleases him and what doesn't so that He won't have to execute His judgement upon you. Which would not be a good thing whatsoever.

oh btw. Im just ****in with you all. I will say this.

I do not believe in god or some other higher being, but i respect anybodys religion,faith,beleifs,therories,etc....

The evoultion, darwin theory seems the most reasonable to me.

But, i never really put much thought into it or took time to study or what not, because im really not interested in where we came from and who's but i have to kiss to get to "heaven"

Back to my main point. We should all be open minded to other peoples beliefs, because if we dont we just might find ourselves in a war for no god **** reason at all. Oh crap, its too late we already did that.

You can read it, I can read, someone in Poland can read it, we can take it up to space, sit it on the moon and wait for our alien friends to come and visit and let them read it. Hell, I can write a book along the same lines as the bible; it doesn't mean it's true.

Understandable, but there's two sides to every story. Because of biases you have to read both sides. Give me some examples, let's see what stands up to scrutiny.

In a post I made several pages back I noted how God walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden before sin entered the picture. This is because He created us to have a relationship with us. The Bible is a record of His dealings with His people. A record that has been proven reliable on so many levels (already listed resources in previous posts) that I have a great deal of reason to believe even beyond my faith. All through this record are examples of how God wants to have a relationship with us, it's the main reason He sent His Son, so sin could be removed as an obstecle to that end. I am no more special then you or anyone He's created. I've just made an effort to have a relationship with Him, and learned some things in the process. If you were to make the same effort, you would find that you are equally as "special".

exactly. i dont have any real beliefs about god, except that i think he loves everyone. why would he have no problem with homosexuality, since it doesnt hurt anyone? and that "the scriptures say" thing is bullshit, because like sqeak said, a lot, A LOT of scripture both in and out of the bible, has been shown to be wrong.

Indeed, He does love everyone. He loves us perfectly. He says in His word He "desires that none should perish". Keep in mind however that we have free will and He is also perfectly just, meaning not one single sin get's swept under the rug. How do you 'spose He reconciles those two extremes? By coming and paying the price for all those sins Himself (cuz He is the only one who is perfect).

The link I provided above is just one example of how homosexuality does hurt not only the people envolved but society as a whole. Do a little research and check the studies and statistics that have been done (by both sides) and you'll find more hurt there then the nightly sitcoms lead you to believe.

So far as Scripture goes, a lot of allogations have been made about parts of it being wrong, but anybody can make accusations. Give me some examples if you don't mind. Some specifics. Let's review it in light of all the facts, not just some of them.

BTW, for all those who have been reading my posts, there is something I probably haven't made very plain. I do in fact respect your beliefs and opinions. I don't know that I've made many of you feel that way, and for that I apologize. The Bible makes a statement about "iron sharpening iron", which refers to us challenging each other and nudging us to think and improve. I've always enjoyed a rational and respectful discussion, even debate. It sharpens me. So if I've come off a little too pointed and offended any of you, please know it wan't my intent and I extend my sincere apologizes.

^^ can you show me some specific scriptures that are 100% false?? for real not some weak *** example like "it's not possible to turn water into wine" lol. i'd say 98% of the science teachers at my school (and uci, as all uc's, is very science oriented) are full blown atheist and deny any "Creator" yet even they'll concur that for the most part the bible in fact is true (don't even think about flaming me for this one). sure it sounds contradictory to say the bible is true yet not believe the creationist aspect, BUT back to the point, find me some verses lol. and to all those that still can't accept the idea that people try to know God, remember that's the whole Faith thing and as christians that's supposed to be the most i repeat the most important factor of salvation, so dont go on publicly saying they're crazy or stupid or what not, you obviously haven't grasped the concept (and for those who say you went to church all ur life and it alienated you, dont bother me lol)
