How far should I push S12L7's

I have 2 Kicker S12L7's on the way, and am wondering what amp to purchase as to how far I can push them reasonably? I use to run a pair in a sealed box with a JBL BP1200.1 however, would like to see if I could possibly get more. Maybe a Rockford T20001BD or an Orion 2500D? Oh ya, I will be running them at 1 ohm in about 1.25 cube a piece. Any suggestions on an amp (best for the money)?

not much room to work with huh....but you can give them about 1000-1100 Rms and they will do okay. i have a ZX2500.1 on mine FTW

back when polecat actually came on this forum, they said 2500w for a pair was fine for daily use.

there's vids on realm of excursion with 2000+ on each.

the 12's have the same motor as the 15's, you just have decreased cone area, air movement, and enclosure size that brings down electrical power handling due to heat, of course.
