01 chevrolet silverado (NEED SETUP)

okay i've getting an 01 chevy silverado ext. cab within the next month - and i've been looking all over the net for ways to get the best setup for my truck. I sold my memphis 15's and amp and with other money I have about a $1000 budget for subs/box/amp. I cannot find a box anywhere that fits the dimensions of any of the subs Im looking at (Supercrewsound.com/woofersetc.com).

So what im wondering is - without taking the backseat out - what sub setup do you guys recommend? I was referred to assassins and ss rl-p's (both 12's - Id rather have 12's than 10's, and i know i wont get 15's in my truck with the size) but I cant find a box that properly fits them.

What do you guys have in your silverados/sierras 99-06 that hit

i have a 98, but its somewhat similar. most likely you're best bet would be to just have a box built/build your own to fit the needs of your wanted subs. 10's would probably be better since you'd most likely be chhoking the 12's. are u trying to put them under the backseat?

They will have a box you can buy that will fit your truck. Several members here can also build you one, more the likely cheaper then the above link.

IMO, both the Assasins and RL-ps are great subs. Out of the two I would probly pick the RL-p. You should be able to get all of these and an amp and still have cash left over.

For an amp, maybe look into an orion 1200d to match up with the RL-ps. There are many other amps we can suggest, your options are going to be vast with that budget.

yeah im wanting to put them under the backseat

I like the rl-ps. how do do think 2 12 ss rl-p's and a 1200.1 kicker amp would sound. im just worried about the sound quality out of such a small box.

I could go with rl-p 10's and maybe a 1000w memphis amp, but i was really looking for something louder than 10's (coming off 2 15's the 10's may sound weak to me) - my friend had 2 mtx 10's (the pre-boxed setup) in his 2500hd and they just didnt hit hard enough for me.

who on here do you suggest talking to about a custom box, and ill check out that site

the proboxrocks site doesnt have a box that has the 7.3" mounting depth i need for the rl-p 12's. bummer

in my 05 ext cab silverado, i run two DD 10"s ported. it sounds awesome and gets nasty. like roof flexing nasty.

how small of a box do you think these are going into? ascedant audio makes the arsenal in a 10" and i've heard the 12" is very comparable to the 12" rl-p. soundsplinter doesn't make a rl-p 10" btw.

you can use a sealed box of .7, not sure if it will fit or not but its a start.
