How do i test if sub and amp work?

I guess the easiest way would be to take it to a pawn shop and tell them you want to sell it, once they test it to make sure it works tell them there offer is to low(it will be anyways) and if it does work read up on installs and get some wire and get it in there!

Thanks for the reply.

Well i have wire. I've read up on this a little bit and i have a battery i can use. Is there any way you can tell how to do it my self? I want to learn how everything works. I will post pictures if u need them.

Another way for subs is to take ddm digital volt meter and test the resistance on the subwoofer coils if it shows nithing on one of the coils it means its bad if it shows 4ohm and its a 4ohm coild obviously its good and the readings can vary by as much as .3 hope this helps as far as amp hook it up not hard to do run a power wire 12v fuse it with reccomended size fuse run a ground wire no longer than 3 feet to some point on the frame. Now here is the difficult part for most beginners the remote wire aftermarket cd players have these usually the blue wire it sends a signal for the amplifier to turn on when the cd player or ignition turns on run that to the remote input on the amp and there ya go. Hope this helps
