How do I make a system plug into a wall socket (120v)?

haha how did yours end up?

false

i have a 25a comp power supply powering a kicker zx1500.1 and im getting ~600w out of it with the gains turned up 1/4 and the bassboost at 1/2 with a bass knob.

dont say things that you havent done or tried.

A 25 amp power supply will only output about 300 RMS watts DC. So your measuring peak power @600 watts, so that's about right.

How much did that 25A PS cost? You know you can buy a 300 watt amp for less than $80.

was riding around on my bike on recycling day cause i look for computers and electronics that people throw out and found a computer with the one i have in it lol.

i have another 20a powersupply i might hook up.

you mean plate amp or car audio amp?

nope.its all good.

i have hooked up to a power brick thing.

25A thru a power brick "thing"? Then your going to gang another 20A onto it?

45 Amps!?!?!? My whole house runs on less than that, you think you can run that down a single circuit?

"It's all good"??? No. You fail.

Most comp power supplies out put less than 200 watts, far less power needed than most sub amps used by members here.A power supply large enough to power even a modest system would cost more than simply buying a new 120v power amp.

This is a fantasy people often ask about who don't understand the huge loss of efficiency when converting from AC>DC.
Actually, most power supplies these days are 600w+ and a lot are going way over 1kw due to multiple video cards, multiple processors, and lots of hard drives. 200w power supplies were obsolete over 10 years ago.

a pc power supply is not going to work very well. Sure if your only wanting to get like 5 amps and a boat load of clipping.

To do it right you need a bigass power supply, Such as this one in my vid.

Its caplible of putting up to 80 amps at varying voltage.

Might I suggest getting yourself a caravan leisure battery and a zig unit. Keep the zig unit plugged into a power suply and attatched to the battery and use the battery to power your audio equipment. Should solve any problems you may have with using a car charger indoors as zig units are specifically designed for living purposes. Hell I'n not sure if it would work but maybe even try connecting the equipment to the zig unit directly.

nono....

car subs INTO the house

so he can **** up his whole room wake up every ****ing neighbor and get his house marked *** a party loud annoying house:wow:
Your profile pic is made of win. Pure win. 100 percent win. I really can't think of anything else to say. Dude should hook his sub to an extension chord and let it play 60hz. But yeah, your profile pic...
