Hooking up sub and amp to stock system with LOC?

I am looking to install an Infinity Basslink T to my stock system in my 02 F150 Lightning. I guess I am going to use an LOC and hook it up to my rear speaker outputs, but will I still be able to leave my rear speakers hooked up? Is there anything else I should know about doing this before I attempt it? Thanks, Matt

The stock system has a set of outputs to run to an extra amp? I was told by Ultimate Electronics and several people on here I would need an LOC and I should hook that up to my rear speaker outputs. Do you have a diagram of my stock stereo wiring harness? Thanks, Matt

I have been told that my stock stereo puts out close to 12watts RMS per speaker, I wanted to replace my factory speakers and I was looking into the Alpine Type S SPS-570A 5x7 which are rated at 40watt RMS and the Pioneer TS-G6840R 6"X8" that are rated at 30watts RMS, would you reccomend these? I know the best way is to replace the whole system, but I'd rather not dump too much money into my stereo when I could be making my lightning faster.

I didn't mean running both brands, I ment that was the two brands I was looking at. Will it have enough clean power to drive them and still sound good?

No.

If each new speaker's RMS is 40 and the RMS of the stock deck is only 12... there will be an audible difference in the sound. You should just stick with the stock speakers and do that Infinity thing. Or if you are bent on new speakers you should get an external amplifier for them. Get something with hi level inputs so you can hang onto your stock deck (so you keep your cost minimal). Most Pioneer amps do it, and those are pretty cheap. I think a bunch of the Sony ones do as well. I'll bet there are more out there that would be more worth it, but that's just me speaking from what I've used and hooked up before.
