Hit brakes and sub gets 2x louder

Hello everyone this is kind of an off the wall question, but I'm stumped. I have an alpine MRP-M1000 amp powering my sub and when I hit my brakes (pretty hard) my sub gets 2 times louder (only for a moment). The subs almost brand new and wired at 2 ohms. My last sub did the exact same thing so I can pretty much rule that out as the problem. All wires are secured tight and have a solid connection, though most of them are crossed and in a pile in the trunk. My 6x9 amp and sub amp are both flopping around loose on the trunk floor, but no wires can really touch. I tried smacking my amp around today while it was playing to simulate me slamming on my brakes and I couldnt get it to do what happens when I hit the brakes. Anyone have any ideas? lol.. I took my amp apart yesterday and tried to feel for a loose component and didn't see/feel any. I'm stumped...ugh..

secure all of your equipment and move your box forward
I thought it was better for the box to be close to the trunk lid? I probably have 6" between the sub and end of trunk, though I really dont have any room to move it any further, its a 4.25 cu ft box after sub displacement.

quit slapping your amps some cars have regulated power like yours u open your door it gets 2x louder when you open your trunk 2x louder window ect.. My Mazda doesn't really I can't really tell a difference with the door open or trunk poped

what would hitting my brakes have to do with my car having regulated power? If it was from limited power wouldnt my sub get quieter from lower rpms not vice versa? And i'm not talking about opening my trunk/window/door so it has nothing to do with the sound pressure...

^ thank you for not considering any part of that ridiculous post. As wenn said, move your box forward as much as possible, and SECURE it there. I'm thinking it's sliding back when you hit the breaks and it's getting more space to load off the trunk walls. While it isn't very reasonable, it's the best thing I can think of. Take some time to secure the gear down. And take a few zip ties to take up the slack in the wires to prevent them crossing over so much.

Thanks for your help! How do you go about securing your box? Between the box and sub is probably a hundred pounds but I suppose it could be moving a tad (i'm a pretty aggressive driver). i've heard of people using Velcro on the box and floor

It can easily move around haha. I'm a very aggressive driver and I was cornering and my box came loose and slid into the side of my trunk, knocked my back-end out a tad. And like you heard, I went the velcro method, hopefully it works. It's been good so far. Just make sure you're getting "industrial strength" velcro. You could also go with some L brackets screwed into the floor and box corners. A solid bungee cord can work good too. (doesn't look as ghetto as it sounds)

Opening your door and gaining output has nothing to do with regulated power, that's all acoustic based

friend has a 97 Buick we actually took my system out put it in his car. Every time his door is opened or trunk is poped its twice as loud. When I had it in the Mazda this was not even a factor. Didn't sound any different if my doors were opened or closed. But yeah the underfighter knows everything. And I wouldn't know sh I t about my box sliding around since all together it has to weigh more than 100 pounds.

I wasn't insulting your knowledge, nor trying to bolster mine. He asked a question about it getting louder when he breaks hard, you talked about opening a window and it being louder.... What the HELL does that have to do with anything?

And your box could still easily slide around if it weighs more than 100lbs, not sure where you're getting the idea that it won't bud.

Check the wiring. I bet you have a lose connection some where it it makes contact for short period when you hit the brakes.
That's what I was thinking too, but he said he checked everything over? :\
