The review was done by Performance Auto Sound Magazine. You mean the one that had the green Pontiac on the cover???The solstice show car??? That PAS magazine???
On page 122 of said magazine it says "although designed for SPL applications Signal linearity is still Very important. linearity was measured at 4 ohms stereo and output was depicted as remaing linear for 79% of its total wattage range, about 8,316 watts...Pretty Nice now...
At 14.6 Volts they got 5.289 and 5,288 at 1 ohm stereo@50 hertz (damping factor of 280 and 279 per side)
and at 2 ohms bridged 10,526 @50 hertz but this was at 14.4 volts (no available damping factor)
now the thing didnt Clip until 12,209 watts!!! Impressive...
Now that was at 14.4 and 14.6 respectively my question is this???What type of power supply sections are they running? Are they regulated or unregulated???
Im curious as to what is going on with them because i cant seem to find this info...and Hifonics has said the amplifier will supply optimum power into either a 2 ohm mono load or a 1 ohm stereo load. With other configurations yielding LESS...It is said that maximum performance will be achieved at 1 ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono loads.
now im looking at your post and i see all these other voltage ratings and power outputs...where can i see those at?Because officially we have 12 and some change on a clip @ 50 hertz according to performance autosound magazine.
