I am installing a small system in a 2013 F150 4 door and they are giving me 500 dollars. I have been thinking of doing 2 10s in a prefab (explained the difference and they didn't want to spend the cash for a really well built custom under-seat box). I have been thinking of the Pioneer TS-sw250 Series shallow mount 250w rms subs, only come in single 4. But two of those with the box only is 90 dollars alone. Subs are 180 together, I still need the wiring, LOC, and amplifier. I was thinking for an amplifier to get like a PPI i650.1 or a Rockford 500 Prime series. Any suggestions other than this? This has to be used, they don't want used equipment.

Do Alpine and Kicker make 500W offerings that make max power at 2 ohm? How about the Brazilians?

Have you considered covering over one of the holes in the prefab and going with a single higher quality shallow wooofer?
