help with bass blocker on 2 ohm tweets

ok right now i have my 2 ohm tweets with 10uf capacitors on them. i want something stronger to cut out even more. do i need a higher or lower uf rating to do this?

Lower capacitance will crossover at a higher frequency. 10uF and 2 ohms is about 8KHz.

Yes. 8 Khz is pretty high.

A single capacitor hipass (bass blocker) is called a first-order crossover. There's a bunch of calculators on the web for that, like this one:

If they really are 2 ohms 4.7uf would put them almost beyond hearing.

No, no. You don't need a different cap, you need to attenuate them. Get a 4 ohm 25W resistor for each one and wire in series.

wait you mean add that and keep the capacitor thats in there or take out the 10uf cap and add the 25w resistor? sorry just confused
