like others have stated on here set the bass boost on the amp to 0. this can cause an amp to clip quickly. I don't agree with the others on here either that sub should be able to handle 1200 watts no problem. My box is a ported box, it was made for the type R. And I have the filter set at 30hz.
Its basically boosting a certain frequency. Main just causing major distortion in your current setup. Have it completely off and set the gains with a multi-meter, get any 15-20$ multi-meter from walmart, Frys, Sears etc... brand dont matter just get one. What exactly does that do? I know it sounds different, I just don't know what it is actually changing.
We can fix that, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.giflike others have stated on here set the bass boost on the amp to 0. this can cause an amp to clip quickly.
