Got my alternator today.(Need help fast.)

I shouldn't even justify any of this B.S. with a response. The fact remains that our reputation for performance, delivery time, and customer satisfaction is seccond to none. You can say whatever you want about our product, what goes around comes around. I don't see why you are so aggressive against us in your marketing, unless of course you feel threatened...
Likewise... Not even worth a reply other than to say the above is just complete BS... Threatened, now that's a laugh... Rob

Who we do buisiness with or share resources with is irrelivant. The fact remains that we have enough talent, equipment and capitol in our arena to stay on the cutting edge of technology, and that is exactly what we will do.

As far as not being able to get ahold of anyone- that is rediculous. There is always plenty of people to answer the phone. We perform almost any and all service and repairs THE SAME DAY we recieve them. you can always get ahold of us, often even outside of normal business hours. Have you tried leaving a voicemail with your phone number on it?
Do other dealers get the same deals you do or is there an advantage to being in house with your manufacturer/parts supplier?

Wow. This is nuts.

I can only speak from my dealings with Mechman and they were 100% satisfactory.

I called at like 430ish on a Friday and it was an answered on 2nd ring. Answered all my questions and everything I had to ask.

Got it in no probs.

Ill be buying my next one from them as well

I think what is going down here is that DC Rob is an XS dealer and he is getting bad mouthed by someone who works for XS. See XS, PowerMaster, and MechMan are all run out of the same building in TN. They all have their websites hosted on the same server. Yet they act like XS and MechMan are separate companies from PowerMaster.

Now if I was a hard working guy like Rob and one of my suppliers was running around the forums talking smack about my hard work, I would be pissed off big time bro!

It would seem that you are missing the relationship between retailer and supplier. It looks like the real probelm is that Rob was offended when someone was talking about his product. Facts are facts, Rob's product is a factory case, rewound stock unit. While these can be great for many applications they just will not produce the low-RPM power of a larger case unit that can easily be adapted to fit the factory application. Rob got an attitude when the discussion of the products came up on here.

Matt has no issue with his product, it has it's place in the market and he seems to build a good product. Rob would be the one who came on here with the attitude. I don't understand why he has such an attitude, he's has his business and a good reputation in the scene.

As for the company ownership, well that's for the people there to discuss, but business is business. Build the best product for the right price and you will sell product. Mechman is doing that and from the feedback Rob is doing that as well.

That said, I would love to see some dyno racing from all of the alternator MFG's. Someone picks an application and the MFG's bring the best unit for the application. Then we can see the real numbers and lay this to rest.

Haha this is an epic battle!

I don't know why you are riding Matt's nuts, but the fact of the matter is that Matt dissed Rob's products, when in fact, Rob is a customer of Matt's parent company. Sure Matt sugar coated it with "I would never say anything bad about DC", then proceeded to say that his product was better than Rob's. That is a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif in any business. He should have more respect for Rob since Rob sells his product (XS). This is a matter of business principle, not fanboy alliances.

Hmmmm... Are you sure Robs products are "factory case"? For some odd reason the 4 that I have instaled resemble nothing close to a "factory case". Even the 2 I own look nothing like factory or even resemble my powermaster, iraggi, EA, or Ohio gen.

Competition is good for the industry as well as business so everyone will have their rivalries regardless of brother-sister companies.

All competition is based something being "better" than another. Mechman wasn't coming out and just blabbing that rob's alternators **** (like people have said about mechman's a few times) he was just pointing out the differences in their approach.

Now is what mechman said valid? I have no idea, but he hasn't said anything outright disrespectful. (unless it's completely false)

Please, don't rely on other peoples mis-information about our product and quote it for truth... Nothing personal towards you because I dont know you, but what you are saying is simply NOT true and your getting bad information..

See, the point here which most of you dont understand, is the product most of you are buying from most sellers, is exactly what they are knocking on one hand, a factory case, rewound stock unit, then turning around and selling you just that, just repackaged a different way...

The problem here is when someone says something, and it becomes an "internet truth", when in fact it's an outright lie.. Most times I will just ignore it, until it gets to the point when people who dont know about things, start talking about them like they do.. Then, I will come in and defend our company, and rightfully so..

You tell me when and where, I'll be there...

Quoted for truth!
