So my mechman alt came in today.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I have a few questions.

Im guessing that blue thing is teh voltage regulator? lol

The voltage regulator came with this cables.

How do I exactly connect those?

Also the alt seems to have 2 1/0 ground studs. Are those both ground or is one for power because I dont see were I'm connecting the 1/0 wire for power.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Sorry for the noobness.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

did you ask mechman? the one near the plug is probably the power, the other the ground, yess the blue thing is the voltage regulator and the harness probably goes inbetween your factory plug. But how about you ask mechman

My DC powers came with a wiring schematic. There weren't any directions at all?
Just found them like a sec ago they were under the shipping material that protects the alt.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Is that for an 02 -04 explorer?
Looks like mine but no ext. reg
nah its for a toyota celica 97 coupe

and theres no way this alt is fitting properly its way to big:crap:

im going to need to buy a bigger belt also like an inch bigger:crap:

so it did not fit?
Its way to big.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I could barely squeese it in lol and ill need to buy a bigger belt like an inch bigger or more:crap:

The bracket that holds the alternator from the bottom doesnt align correct for the bolt that goes through it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Idk if i could get away without it.

If you ordered that thing "made to fit" i wouldn't install it in my car. If it doesn't even bolt on properly, make something to adapt it or something.

Do it right the first time. And call the manufacturer

I could buy a smaller bolt for the bottom bracket like a skinnier bolt and it will go through so it could hold it the top bracket bolts on fine and ill need a way bigger belt also because my stock was out of reach by like 1 1/2 inch idk if im doing something wrong, maybe thats why the belt is not reaching? but idk it was hard enough to squeese it in so it will only stay in one position since it will hit everywere due to its size

Do all mechman alts come with an external regulator? Where are you supposed to put it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I believe its 100 bucks more for the ext reg.

The install for it is easy. You just need to find a safe mounting area for it and you'll be good.
