Got my alternator today.(Need help fast.)

The top is totally loose when i bolt on the bottom piece too and it wont slide at all the alt is to big and is hitting on the bottom i think a new longer belt will do just fine
i took the alt out heres the bottom

all i can do is give you advice but i think you'll figure it out dude

Also make sure you can still bolt into the front of the bottom... You have a picture of the bottom bolt? It should have 2 different things that need to be tightened down once you come close to finishing. One that goes into the alt itself and one that goes on the front that is also connected to your alt which will adjust the tension of your belt.. But get a bigger belt and see if you can fab something to fit

Ya use a smaller bolt or fab up a bracket to fit ur alt and will bolt up to the bottom that is ur belt tensioner so don't make that weak or affect the geometry of it.. Then you'll be set to go.

No not a bigger belt, if you start chopping up the bottom bracket you could affect the way the alt will mount up and it could be crooked

I could still bolt on that piece with those 2 bolts that go through. Ill continue tommorrow.

When you bought your altenator, didn't they go based on what year/model/make your car is and go from there? And if it needs customized, they talk to you about it? Not sure as to why this would be so big and you didn't expect it.

Least you can get to your alty with ease. Mine is under the car and is a bish to get too. Send it back to mechman and call rob at dcpowerinc.com and get something you WONT HAVE TO MODIFY.It will fit perfectly and pwn that mechman i promise.I bought a tripple alt kit from dcpower and didnt have to mod one thing.

Yeah my alt is at the very top

Matt told me it was going to be a bigger casing but I forgot to ask him If I was going to have to modified brackets etc wich he didn't mention.

. They wouldn't even attempt to make duals for my truck... Robbie and dave have probly the best

i called rob i gave him my info and card number for payment after a week passed by ..by that time i was expecting the alt and nothing called again and left my number with one of there workers and didnt get a call back.. i got tired of calling and emailin.. seems like they didnt want to sell me an alt or idk wat was the problem

Doesn't sound like the DC i know, Dave and Rob both talked to me personally and gave me their cell #s in case i had ANY problems. Don't know what the issue was with your experience, but they may have been developing you kit is why it took a week, and whoever you left a message with might have not put it where Rob saw it.

Dude it didn't took a week for nothing, point is Rob never got to making the alternator. I notice this because he didnt even charge my credit card nor neither he called back to atleast tell me it was going to take some time to make or atleast update me on something. I just let a week pass by because he told that by that time I would be expecting the alternator. What pissed me off was that he didnt even bother to let me know what was going on it seem like he just ignored the order.
