LOL, like I tell others, If you have a problem blowing subs and can't keep your hands off the gains, HIDE the D#$N gain control knob!!! EX. good location, the trunk!!! For those who have no control on the gain control!! LOL

no no i mean mechcanical failure from over excursion... the bigger your box is, the less power it takes to reach it's maximum excursion...

1.5 cubes is .25 bigger than reccomended for 500 watts...

and 2 times bigger than the reccomended enclosure when using 1000 watts... actually if you were to go by alpine they'd tell you with that size box you should be running >500...
