what is your opinion(s) on the atlas as far as its specs and quality go? and will a 200-500 watt amp really do the job?

Yes, its very efficient, you will be fine with 300w. It is highly versitile in means of enclosures due to its variable qts. I say you go for it.

Also: Chad (owner of ascendant audio) is absolutely excellent with customer service, he takes extreme pride with pleasing his customers. Im sure he will help you get the results you want from it.
