Good 12in sub for a sealed setup?

So everything I'm looking at is better ported... I could maybe do 1.5 cubes ~30hz. But I don't have anyway to build the box here. And with the price a custom box costs, I'd probably only be able to get something prefab'ed and generic'ly tuned.

What are my options sealed? I head someone mention incriminator audio and ID?

ID will need more airspace. IA has the flatlyne. But it's pricey.

Do the Alpine and be happy. It should be cheap enough to get a box built.

look at the sub's ts parameters and calculate the EBP with this calculator Efficiency Bandwidth Product Calculators - EBP, Speaker Resonance Frequency, Speaker Electrical

If the sub is less than 50 EBP you run sealed, if its higher than 50, you run ported. Right around 45-50 you can run 4th order.

1.5 cubes will not work unless you do a single 8 or 10 ported. Remember the port takes up space and the sub takes up space, your 1.5 cubes may end up to be only .8 or 9 cubes useable airspace.

yeah he's right u should do 1 10 ported

IDQ12 is only $220 on amazon.

The same as the SA 12.

So a SA10 ported or a IDQ12 sealed, or splurge and get the SA12 ported and lose more space. These are the decisions...

Any custom box makers in the house?

Recently picked up a Lexus HS250h, the 10 speaker sound system is lacking in all areas. It just sounds muted. Highs aren't that high, mids are muddy and the lows only appear during one magical midbass fs.
My plan for now is just to add a subwoofer and amp.

Later if I feel like torturing myself I'll attempt a switch out of the internal components.

I don't want to take that much trunk space away. So I'm leaning towards a single 12, sealed in 1-1.3cubes.

I want to spend around $200 for the sub, just a daily beater. Nothing like the Adire Brahama 15in I had when 20 years ago. (**** I'm old)

So my basic question is what's a good 12in subwoofer, that does well sealed, and takes around 500-750rms?

Also this is going in a hybrid. Is there anything I need to know about installing a amp into a hybrid?

You might want to check this out. It's a little over your budget, but I've heard nothing but great things about the BM MKIII.

Here's the link:

Well, I did check into that and, as you said, I can do it. The only drawback is that it cuts the power in half. My amp will only put out 550 watts (bridged) at 4 ohms. So, at 8 ohms, it will only be 275 watts. Do you, by chance, know the power recommendations for the BMK MKIII? I can't seem to find that specification.

It's power requirements are what you want the output to be. More power more output to a point.

It won't beat a full size good sub. No shallow will
