What would the electrical load difference be? Sorry I see the title of my post says 2ohm but it is supposed to be 1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifOnly one way to find out..
Just hope you have the electrical to support that .5ohm load.
What ohm are you subs? If D4s you have a choice of 2ohms or 4ohms. D2s you can do 2ohms or .5 ohm. What would the electrical load difference be? The diff will pull juice like nothin , make sure your backin it correctly right now im in a 96 tahoe , stock alt and a yellow top @ .5 on an hdc4 18 and atomic at1600.1 and it drops pretty good still holds solid but my amp can play down to 10v so im good not a good idea but i know what im doin so im safe but make sure you have a stout electrical system to back it to save your behind , at .5 things heat up and break pretty fast if you dont know what your doin and coils will burn , oan distributing between more than one coil is better on the coils but like i said heat will be an issueWhat would the electrical load difference be? He is correct ^^^^^you definately need some type of voltage read out on your dash before you make this switchits possible the amp will pull voltage down to single digit teratory and cook / possibly cook some car electronics as well
but
if you watching voltage drop at the dash when playing you can turn down volume a bit when it gets to the border line of un safe
