Featured How to wire dual D4 subs to 2ohm amp

Stinger MT2000.1
x2 Alpine R2-W12D4
Your subs are dual 4 ohms. You will have to wire the subs so the amp sees 1 ohm. At one ohm, the amp will put out 2000 watts, that means each sub will share that power. So, in theory, each sub will see 1000 watts each.

To wire the subs, you will wire it exactly how your first original diagram shows. That's because the Stinger amp has two inputs that are that are bridged internally. As your diagram reads, wire each sub to 2 ohms and connect one sub to each speaker output. Internally, the amp will see 1 ohm.

Either wiring scheme will work. The one offered by dragon will use a bit less wire and can be a cleaner install (by a short hair).

Use the proper wire for power and ground. Run full lengths of both to the battery if possible. Grounding to chassis is less preferable.
Fuse the power wire at the power source. The driver wires don't have to be garden hose thickness. 14 or 16 gauge will be fine.

The inputs have no relevance to the wiring of the drivers or your amp, other than that you need to connect to at least one of them. File that information away for another day and another amplifier. It may be useful then.

The ++/-- are summed, internally. You can use one of each or both, it's the same to the amp. They are there primarily to allow you to use multiple med gauge wires, either one lead from each of two subs or combined wire from one sub and will be a personal build preference.

They are still only a single +/- input terminal as far as the amp is concerned.
