To figure out the output voltage you need to do this:so for the comps amp
110 by 2 (12.5 volts) at 4 ohms per channel
but my car is about 13.5 volts when volume pumping
so my amp would be putting out around 125 watts a channel at 4 ohms
125 by 4 is 500 and the square root is 22.3
right/ wrong?
To figure out the output voltage you need to do this:
Voltage = square root of (Power * Resistance)
So, 500x4 = 2000 - square root of 2000 = 44.72
44.72 is your output voltage
You need to account for the ohms. He said his amp is 500 watts at 4 ohms.his amp is a 2-channel. it would be 125 time 4 which is 500 and then the square root of that number. not sure where you are getting your numbers.
You need to account for the ohms. He said his amp is 500 watts at 4 ohms.
He said 125 watts per channel. 125 x 4 = 500 x 4 ohms = 2000he said his amp is 125 watts at 4 ohm which equals 500. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
He said 125 watts per channel. 125 x 4 = 500 x 4 ohms = 2000
Oh ok it's 125x2...sorry that was confusing
125 X 2 @ 4 ohm
125 watts times 4 ohms is 500 and the square root of that is 22.3
Oh ok it's 125x2...
125 x 2 = 250
250 x 4 ohms = 1000
square root of 1000 = 31.6
