fuse holder melted

my plastic inline fuse holder melted last night and fell apart. Can someone tell me why this happened and if i should just get a new one or if there is something wrong.
I had a couple Knu's and they did that when the 0 gauge wires worked loose and starting shorting...I can send you a simple way of making your own inline fuse holder...it will kick ass and only cost a couple bucks. PM me you sexy thang and I will let you in on the secret. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

I plan on getting the fuse to run as a front sub/midbass in my kick panels...I've heard they sound good but you definitely wont get mirror shaking...
