for those who've used 18's?

this is a rough sketch of what i want to go with

Eclipse SW9182Pro - Eclipse 18" Titanium Pro Subwoofer x4

Orion Orion-2500D - Orion 2500 Watt Mono Amplifier x4

JL Audio ZR650-CSi - JL Audio 6.5" 2 Way Component Systems x4

Orion Orion-8004 - Orion 4 Ch. 800 Watt Amplifier x 1

Alpine IVA-D901 - Alpine 7" Motorized DVD/CD/MP3

Alpine CHAS634 - Alpine 6 Disc CD/MP3 Ai-Net Changer

Phoenix Gold TIPowerCore20 - Phoenix Gold 20 Farad Capacitor/Dist. Block

i already know i gotta do some upgrades to my electrical system..that goes without saying..main question is there is enough room for those 4 18's with 56cu.ft no doubt..i hope..

You need to find subs first. You cant 'assume' 4000 watts will be too much and 2k not enough if you arent comparing it to anything. RE MT's would take 2k daily no problem in the right enclosure. I run 2 visonik V4000xd's on a 16v system with 2 18" RE MT's and havent had one problem. This is all in the backseat of a truck too..so I pray to god you can fit 4 18's in an armada. Take a look at Steve Meades on ROE and Termpro..he's got 4 18's in a tahoe. Might help you out some.
i got no problem finding the subs..they are there waiting for me..

my 2 18's are in a 12ft^3 box. I had them in a 24ft^3 box before int he back of my truck. With 56ft^3 you have PLENTY of room. Bigger is not always better also. Meade runs a 20ft^3 box I believe for 4 18" MT's. I dont know much about the eclipses, but I would think 20ft^3 is more than enough.

how are those Visonik amps?good quality?

I thought newton said that for a given force, a larger mass will have lower acceleration? Isn't this true of larger woofers?
Acceleration is SPL/amplitude, not transient response.

Rate of change of acceleration, which is dictated by inductance and not mass, is what controls "woofer speed".

And even then....who's to a say an 18" has more moving mass than a 12" sub of a different brand?
