Are 8inch RE RE's dual 4ohms?

the site says all are dual 4 ohm... the site doesn't lie. i think RE does some custom configurations but you might have to pay extra.

is there any amps that can run 1000x1 at .5ohms? b/c i was planning on having 8 8inch RE's and having two amps run them (4 on each amp) and you cant wire 4 dual 4ohms subs into a 1ohm load.

The current ones are, but RE will build a custom VC configuration for a $25 fee, I believe.

At least, they used to.

Why not shoot for 1 big amp with all of the power at 1 ohm?
