For all you car owners with LOUD exhausts...

I have a 90 camaro with a 305 and flowmaster exhaust, it's deep and smoothahell, i love it, my old truck (87 silverado, mufflers cut off at the cat) was deep and all, but being right under the cab + not very loud subs (punch z's) i hated it.....

Do you guys ever get sick of that noise? Like if your riding at like 2am at nite with that loud *** exhaust...do you like it? what about inside the car...does the noise get annoying or ever get sick of it?

Hrmm, Custom/Flowmaster dual Exhaust on the Tbird. 4.6L V8 - minor mods.

Love it. Not too loud, not too soft. No drone. Just low rumble.

My Cougar...... It's just F*ckin' Mean.

No other way to put it.

Magnaflow/Custom Dual Exhaust.

The engine, heavily modified GT40/Cobra 302 Ford. The 400 horsies galloping at the flywheel variety.

I doubt I'll ever tire of this exhaust. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Bad*ss!

I'll toss some sound clips up once I finish re-working the fuel system.

i have apexi world sport which is street style exhaust. not loud, not low. it "hums" on the highway, nothing noticeable from distance.

i do hate ppl who ride out 2nd or 3rd gear at midnight with there exhaust. it may sound nice, but gotta keep it a little quiet as ppl are sleeping at this time. definately not the time to show off.

My exhaust is just my downpipe.

Its not loud, just resonantes like a motherfuker. Its a deep deep deep note, not loud in the frequency, but its a low-***, loud rumble. Like the barry white of exhaust notes.

Thats at idle, once you are going, its just a constant 747 taking off..gotta love that, no matter what time of night.

On the freeway, its loud, and once the converter locks, you feel it.

Its like this..imagine the old muscle deep rumble, now take out the higher notes, and add a turbo whistle that makes little animals run in fear, and mustangs go and hide, and thats my exhaust.

Needless to say, the turbo can be heard from quite aways away.

I have vids if anyone wants to see. I just need a host.

Not much can compare to the sound of a radical big block chevy playing flowmasters, maybe a Harley or V Max. Im looking foward to the challenge of building a respectable sound system in my big block Impala, but the building part is what Im really gonna get off on, so Ill just shut up and listen why Im here in your guys world, a few more brain cells and Ill have my choice worlds to get off in!!

BTW:When you hear a whistle from an exhaust or engine, it is because the car is supercharged.
not always the case...

gear drives (okay, not necessarily in the exhaust), turbo whine and even just some intakes( filter and tube) will make an engine/exhaust whistle. hell, maybe even real high compression in an unpolished head can sometimes have a "whistle" to it...

i second the knarly bowtie big block playin flows though...almost nothing short of an all out nitro car sounds that good...

I just put on piping on my car on Friday. 2.5" stainless steel mandrel bent, stock rear section. The OEM muffler's for my car are actually really expensive and has a very high flow rate, they have a variable flow. No one can really tell from startup, except me since I own the car, it's oooh so slightly deeper. Can't really hear the exhaust till 3~4k rpm and it you start to hear the deepness a little, but NO droning on the freeway whatsoever. the CAI is loud though....that's another issue....but what can i say i love the g35/350z sound

The other day I was on my way to meet up with a friend who was with a group of people I actually didn't know, when I came roaring down the street one guy was like "Dang maxima's are loud for stock." Ever heard a g35 sedan? those things are sound illy when they floor it, they're just ugly, but my next door neighbor gave me the honors fo driving his brand new g35...if i ever owned that thing i wouldn't modify any of it....maybe swap out the midpiping for the coupe one.

my point, exhaust drone SUCKS. Every friend i have with a 4 banger and full catback DRONES! it's way more annoying inside than outside the car. If you want power just get headers and maybe new midpiping, keep that dull lookin muffler so you don't get pulled over //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

oh i'd love to be able to say that. ride in my car once though and you'll hear the whistle....even whistled STOCK

btw this is what i got minus the rear section: http://www.frankencar.com/products/5gmax/exhaust/index.htm

far from any ricer exhaust, in fact a lot of maxima owners don't like this one cuz it's not "loud" enough for their tastes. I don't even have the muffler and I already like the sound. This was also the highest quality exhaust I've ever seen, literally, and I've seen many HKS, GReddy, and Apex'I units. I wish I took pics of the pipe before I put it on, QUALITY welds, flanges, and a really cool lookin badge with their name on the resonator. Definitely worth more than what I got it for, IMPOSSIBLE to get this kind of quality from a custom shop. I'd love for anyone to try to call me rice.

my 97 dodge ram has magnaflow exhaust on it and its deep and loud. i love it and the engine whistles really loud when i punch the gas. (and its not supercharged any engine does it)
