I just put on piping on my car on Friday. 2.5" stainless steel mandrel bent, stock rear section. The OEM muffler's for my car are actually really expensive and has a very high flow rate, they have a variable flow. No one can really tell from startup, except me since I own the car, it's oooh so slightly deeper. Can't really hear the exhaust till 3~4k rpm and it you start to hear the deepness a little, but NO droning on the freeway whatsoever. the CAI is loud though....that's another issue....but what can i say i love the g35/350z sound The other day I was on my way to meet up with a friend who was with a group of people I actually didn't know, when I came roaring down the street one guy was like "Dang maxima's are loud for stock." Ever heard a g35 sedan? those things are sound illy when they floor it, they're just ugly, but my next door neighbor gave me the honors fo driving his brand new g35...if i ever owned that thing i wouldn't modify any of it....maybe swap out the midpiping for the coupe one. my point, exhaust drone SUCKS. Every friend i have with a 4 banger and full catback DRONES! it's way more annoying inside than outside the car. If you want power just get headers and maybe new midpiping, keep that dull lookin muffler so you don't get pulled over
