Get Low
Junior Member
My budget will be about 800-1000 dollars to start off my build. I'm looking at running 2 12's. I will upgrade speakers down the line, including an amp for them. That being said, this is what I'm looking at getting for my initial setup. I would run the subs parallel, and since they are dvc4 I can have the load at 1ohm for max power from whatever amp I choose. If anything I have stated so far is wrong, please point it out to me haha. Anyways:
Amplifier
- NEW HIFONICS BRUTUS BRZ1700.1D CLASS D MONO AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 390211851338 end time Sep-18-10 11:05:11 PDT)
or
- Audioque: Amps: AQ1200D
Subs
- Pair/2 Alpine SWR-1243D Type-R 12" subwoofer dual 4-ohm - eBay (item 400150822542 end time Sep-10-10 12:30:04 PDT)
or
- 2 RE AUDIO SRX12D4 SR 12" 1200w CAR SUBWOOFERS SRX12-D4 - eBay (item 390152248390 end time Oct-01-10 11:14:42 PDT)
Head Unit
- Alpine CDA-105 CD receiver at Crutchfield Signature
(^ Basically includes a free set of speakers.)
My research has led to the above so far. I am open to all options and opinions. I listen to many types of music, but for the most part "real" hip hop. Also, will I need a spare battery to power all of this? Still new to the whole process.
Thanks for any help that might come, I appreciate it!
