got the rings done.....now I got to tear the doors down and place them...

I hope to have the glass work started this weekend...

well I got the door skin on the drivers side torn down....

it is going to be a TIGHT fit for two of those mids

but I'm gonna do it....

there is not enough room to fit a X-over on the door

with the two mids so I am going to have to put them

some where else....

I got a location picked out..just gonna have to wait for the pics

that's all for tonight...I'll work on it tomorrow and make the

passenger door match.....

the tweeter for the door will be a simple install...the tweeter

in the pillar will be a bit of work

I'm jealous of good looking installs. But I must ask, why all JBL products? I've looked up some of the pricing on some of the products and those 660GTi Components are 2,000$ MSRP. Seems as if the system is worth 3 times more then the car. Not hating just curious. Great looking build though. Test box looks better then 90% of the peoples real boxes. Looks loud as hell off one 10" too.

I have spent well over $75,000 on car audio since 1985 and

the best sounding systems I have owned were all JBL and

Harmon/Kardon stuff...I have tried lots of other stuff trying to

duplicate the sound with no luck...

since this is going to be my last system I figured to go all out

and build something unique...

as for the car....I do not want to spend thick $$$$ on a car that

will only be used for sound comps, thump-a-thons and to be used

as a demo car to show people what my enclosures sound like but

Personally I would rather be driving a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT-8

but it isn't in the budget

if I was making payments on a new car I would never be able

to afford this kind of a system..and the system install would

mutilate a new car anyways....it would be a waste of a good car....

I have rattled apart 3 new cars in the past

this way when I am done with the system I can sell the car for

50 bucks with no love lost and move on

lets just call this my mid life crisis toy...

like my dad always told me...go big or fuk off:naughty:

I added a few things to the install..

I got another Px 600.2 amp coming so I have 1 for each set of

components...

1 Streetglow LED multi-colour under car kit

4 streetglow 6" neo-blue LED's one for each sub cavity

1 Streetglow 15" neo-blue LED for the amps

a 2 way alarm system with pager alert ,back up battery ,two sirens,

two shock sensors and glass breakeage sensor

(brand is confidential)

window tinting

I may end up with a pair of Kinetik batteries

or I will get a new pair of Yellowtops..not shure yet

those comp as SEXXY. i have had a few different sets of comps in my car and coaxils and my jbls have been the nicest yet. maybe a switch????

this is as far as I got today....I got to put on a bit more matting

in a few places then some bondo'ing and sanding....

I have not totaly decided on what I am going to finish them

with buit I hope to have these done soon cause I really want

to hear those components

a little test fit before I do any finishing...

I have decided to get a Honda CRX next year to put

this system into so I am not going to extravigant on the

finishing...

I am going to smooth out all the inperfections and use

truck box liner spray on the glass work then paint it grey

to match the interior.....
