Finally....My new install build

Props to ya for running Harman stuff.

I had a single W10GTi in 1.75 cf tuned to 27Hz off only a GTO601.1 and to this day it's the best sub I have owned. Got loud but the SQ was amazing.

I had several of the old style gti subs and they were impressive

for SQ...

but these new Wgti's are unreal....no boomy bass with these

babies....

the distinction between each note is awsome

my last install had Rockford Power HX2's..they hit hard and

got sickly low (my car would levitate on 15hz) but I forgot

what real bass sounds like

out of all the systems I have owned the old Harmon/Kardon

CA-260 amps with the JBL subs/components is the sound

I have been trying to duplicate over the years with no luck

I finnally got it back:naughty:

it has been a real shitty day for me....

I SMOKED a W10gti in the test box.....

it was doing fine..had it loosened up a bit and put in

one of my favorite disks....Low and Slow 3

welll the sub got really low then the volume got low

and the interior of the car was full of smoke so I had

to turn the windows down and drive real slow:blackeye:

can anyone say recone?????

anyways it's on it's way for a rebuild in the morning

all I can say is the sub did really well...no bottoming out

no weird noises or anything..

I just plain and simply over powered the poor little thing

I stuck in another one and turned the gain right to the bottom

and hooked up the remote bass level control so I could turn it

down even further

the smell was enough to make me sick...gonna take weeks to get

that odour out of the car

W10gti in the test box.....

I have it forward firing pulled right to the back

of the car.....

it is unbeleivable the SQ these things put out....

Metallica's double drums sound like a machine gun

and the bass from rap is unreal...very tight:violent:

like some of the guys at work said

you hear a pair of 12" and you see a single 10"...OOPS!!!!

when you guys see what is going to happen to the interior

you are gonna ****.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/omg.gif.05aa02c3095d6ce9338996654eca0863.gif

When you kerf, where does the port entrance start and where do you start measuring the port length? I'm guessing it starts when the walls line up parallel.

some electrical upgrades....

I re used some of the wiring from my last system....

double 4 gage from the battery+ to the BPX 2200.1

and a 100amp high current fuse on each lead

and a 4 gage lead from the alternator to the battery +...

this will be upgraded to 0/1 gage when I install the Iraggi

alternator (and a good preasure wash under the hood)

next I will add my yellowtop (if it will fit under the hood) and add

a 0/1 gage ground from the battery - to the chassie

I like to make my test boxes with a huge, high tuned port first, then add layers to the port wall/extentions until it gets reall flat or real loud, or both, whatever im aiming for. Its amazing what I learned just playing with a few boxes like that.

I do the same thing with my test boxes....

I am doing 3 different cf3 sizes and playing with the tunning

on each one

I got some really different Idea's with this install

one thing I do not want is a normal looking install

when people look into my ride their eyes will be buisy

for a while:D

I'll have some more pics up later on tonight

is everyone paying attention??
