F'in A I need a job...

Food service. Find a place where you don't have to share tips. Claim 10% of your sales as the tips you made. Walk away with about 30% or more of your tips being tax free. Although the checks will be small, having the cash tips will be great. Look for a short lunch shift at an american style place. 11-4 shift. $80-100 easy.
Make a strict budget too, so when you do have a job you don't get yourself into another one of these predicaments.

Good Luck
waiters dont need to pay taxes like the rest of us?

depends on how many people he claims. they are only taking $30 a week. at the end of the year he'll get most of it back anyways.
idk how you can't live on $340 a week. must be in a lot of debt
what do you mean?( the bold stuff) also why should he get most of it back? up here "anything" payed in making that much would be paid back in full. making

20k a year i was getting back on average 1600 a year in my taxes. thats what i payed in pretty much. i really dont know much about how your guys tax system works.

it means how many dependants he claims. most likely he'll claim 0, so that means he'll get more money taken out per check then if he claims himself or other dependants. the state holds about half your taxes, plus social security, and federal with is usually paid back in full up to 5k.

i understand a bit better now. to my knowledge up here they deduct income tax according to your income. we have different brackets. 0-33,000, and 33,001 to 66,000. and then 66,000 to 100,000, and then 100k+. i have never had dependants, so i am not sure how that affects stuff, but i know this year is the first i'll be in the 33k+ bracket, so we will see how tax season goes next year.

we have brackets too. i think he estimated a little too much taxes being taken out. in the US you can claim yourself as a dependant.

Unemployed like a MF. I'm there with ya bro. My $350.00 a week unemployment ran out a few weeks ago and I am now officially in the panic stage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif I have great skills as yourself with resumes and cover letters sent out all over the place. This week alone I have been to a few good interviews and now just waiting for the phone to ring.
Thank goodness my wife has a decent job. Any longer and I may have to sell my Harley. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif I need a JOB like ASAP.

Good luck to ya......
Same to you good sir. I hope you get back employed quick.

man if you were in nj i could get you a job, My boss is always looking to hire people 8-16 and hour depending on where you work...( i work in the ware house and i get 8 an hour opposed to the office people

Rent, car, insurance, phone, ATV, food, blah...blah...blah

That $350 goes quick.

$400 for rent

$205 for car

$289 for insurance

$80 phone

$127 for ATV

~$40 a week in food

= ~$1260

$350 for unemployment per week = $1400

It doesnt look all that tight, but it is.

why does a single person need to make 52k a year? maybe texas is different but 50k a year jobs starting off are hard to come by for people without degrees. hell my dad was at Ford's for 30 years and was making $26/hr when he retired after 30 years, but the big 3 isn't hiring anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
