sux man , sounds like you got alot of knowledge tho, so im sure w a good resume and a few interviews youll be good.. I just moved to san antonio , almost a month ago, and just got started last week, i was getting worried , especially in the financial department,
But as sad as it sounds im gonna be making avg of 800/week hanging gutters, which from what i hear is not fun in the texas summers
What company in San Antonio is paying you $41,600 a year to hang gutters? Is that w/ 20 hours a week overtime?

Have fun this summer by the way, it is going to be hot and humid. jntar says it's not bad because he is used to it like most of us Texans, your candy *** is going to die.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

your unemployment check is the same as my weekly check from work. rent between me and the gf is $1200 plus utilities and groceries and all that plus gas for the car and cell phone and insurance. how expensive is it where you live?

I am a sales rep at a courier company near toronto canada. With your experiance, i could land you a job at my work in second. Good luck with your job hunt. I went through the same thing a couple years back. Had a good paying job, but kept getting laid off due to it being an automotive industry job. Too many seasonal shutdowns. I finally got sick of just catching up, then falling behind while laid off.(not enough time off to qualify for ei). I finally landed this job a year ago and haven't looked back. i started making 30k a year as a customer service rep, and then got a 5.5% raise cause i did my job well. Then a couple months later i got promoted to sales rep. got a new starting salary, of almost 10k more than before(with the raise), and then in november i got another 11% raise for my hard work. so i am doing pretty well now to say the least. next month i get another raise and i am sure it will be another 11%(my boss has been hinting).

just stick it out, i am sure you will find what you are looking for, or someone will find what they are looking for in an employee.(you)

if you made 9.5 an hour for 20 hours a week you would take home $150?

Unemployed like a MF. I'm there with ya bro. My $350.00 a week unemployment ran out a few weeks ago and I am now officially in the panic stage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif I have great skills as yourself with resumes and cover letters sent out all over the place. This week alone I have been to a few good interviews and now just waiting for the phone to ring.

Thank goodness my wife has a decent job. Any longer and I may have to sell my Harley. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif I need a JOB like ASAP.

Good luck to ya......

depends on how many people he claims. they are only taking $30 a week. at the end of the year he'll get most of it back anyways.

idk how you can't live on $340 a week. must be in a lot of debt

Food service. Find a place where you don't have to share tips. Claim 10% of your sales as the tips you made. Walk away with about 30% or more of your tips being tax free. Although the checks will be small, having the cash tips will be great. Look for a short lunch shift at an american style place. 11-4 shift. $80-100 easy.

Make a strict budget too, so when you do have a job you don't get yourself into another one of these predicaments.

Good Luck
