F'in A I need a job...

i also suggest trying to work for the state. it probably won't be the pay you are looking for, but i'm currently in the process of trying to land a job for the state of michigan. pay is usually pretty good, benifits are great, and you get paid holidays, and here they help pay for your college, so you may not start at $25/hr but you can work up, and when you add benifits, it isn't a bad job. also job security is pretty good working for the government

I have looked into it. I am just not sure on what I could do for the government here in TX. I have an inventory background. I did however get hit up by the guard and fema to be a logistics coordinator, but I passed when they told me that the pay was $9.25 an hour starting out.

Rent, car, insurance, phone, ATV, food, blah...blah...blah
That $350 goes quick.

$400 for rent - That is some cheap rent.

$205 for car

$289 for insurance - That is a lot for insurance, how old are you and what kind of car?

$80 phone

$127 for ATV

~$40 a week in food - ****, I spend $50 a week just in lunch, not including the weekends.

= ~$1260

$350 for unemployment per week = $1400

It doesnt look all that tight, but it is.

why does a single person need to make 52k a year? maybe texas is different but 50k a year jobs starting off are hard to come by for people without degrees. hell my dad was at Ford's for 30 years and was making $26/hr when he retired after 30 years, but the big 3 isn't hiring anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

It's very hard to find a job in Texas making that kind of money w/ out a degree but he does have some decent experience. I'm one of the lucky one's. I make decent $$ w/ no degree but my wife does better because she has a degree and we are somewhat in the same field.

i turned down a human resource job for the city of detroit that would've paid $17/hr. government jobs pay well here. there a whole list of jobs available through the state. here you take a basic test, and then you are given access to the available jobs. most of the better paying ones require degrees though

Rent is thanks to my parents helping me out in my bind from years ago.

insurance, I will be 25 in two weeks so I am praying it drops. I didnt have a clean driving record for the longest time. So I was shaftd by progressive for the past 6 years or more. I drive an '01 reg cab chevy truck.

I use to spend a shit load more on food, bt I have majorly cut back on food and alcohol since my layoff.

Personally, I would settle for something for the time-being.

You can easily find a job making slightly more than you make now.

If you are really driven, you can undercut mexicans cleaning restrooms at a truck stop. I cleaned restrooms part time during college to make the ends meet.

Is it fun to clean up after pissy truckers or see them screw lot lizards in the showers. Not really...not really fun at all. But I have never been broke. I also have 0 pride. I will work hard, but I am not too good to do any job.

Get a retail job or something to tie you over...otherwise it will be hard

i remember when i used to be the lounge lizard. guess i still am

A lot lizard is a lady too unattractive and stupid to be a normal **********. It is the only time in my life where a ********** asked me straight up if I would like to have *** with her.
i know what a lot lizard is. awhile back i believe it was wonderbread who called me a lounge lizard and the name kinda stuck for awhile. i found it utmost humerous at the time
