Few Questions about length...

I know the shorter the power wire length, the high AWG u could use.

Well i have a 325ci, and the battery is in the trunk (OH YEA!!!)

I will be running for now...

- 12" XXX

- 36.1 RE 1800 watts amp

An Expansion planned for summer...

- 100.4 RE 100 x 4 amp

- either RE XXX Comps (depending onf reviews) or Focal

Being that the power wire to my distribution block would be like...... 3 feet, what AWG do you recommend me use? I was originally going to use 1/0 AWG for ground and power.

I don't think i will be going over 2200 watts total ( 36.1 and 100.4), atleast in this car.

Also was wondering what wires do u guys use to connect XXX, was thinking of using 12 AWG.

And do you know what size does the RE 35.1 take? I'm assuming it will be the same for the 36.1.

Run 2 guage to a distro block and 4 ga to the amps. You can keep the length of 2 ga to under 3 feet if you do it right.

A word of warning to the wise: sure, a e46 trunk's opening is 17"s, but don't assume that means a 16" box will fit with .5" on each side. No no... I had to pound sheet metal and take the carpet out to fit that mofo in. 15" tall boxes are a MUCH better choice! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

BTW: In your bimmer, face the sub up or back, both soud realllly good, but back is a little louder, IMHO. And get some secondskin, because that trunk is so soundproof it reallly stores the pressure up in there, and wow.... teh XXX pwns teh sheetmetal.

I was hoping i could fit it from the back seat, after i fold the seats down. But Thanks for the info.

And also was going to face the sub like this

Do you think it'll sound good?

Faced the port up at the driver side woofer hole, and I also have the skipass removed. I'm going to stuff the deck with wal-mart undershirts to stop more rattling, but it is loud... really loud. I dont know how the whole armrest thing would have worked. I'm sure it looks cool, but I am skeptical that it is practical.
