9/10/08 - Left for school @ ~280lbs

9/30/08 - After working out almost every day, for 2 weeks, I'm at ~270. (Damn you metric conversions)

My goal is to be

I've been working out nearly every day. I try to alternate between cardio and weight lifting, but on days I'm feeling frisky, I do a bit of both. I've got a couple friends who I've told to get on me about working out, so that I'll be forced to do it every day.

I'd like to be able to do 30 minutes on the elliptical-- I did 10 minutes today and it whipped my ***. I usually do 30 minutes on the bike (could do that all day)

I'm also working on my upper body strength. I'm not necessarily weak, but for someone my size, I'm below par.

Today, I benched 60kg + bar, so ~80kg (~170lbs). I felt like I could have done a bit more, but I didn't wanna push much harder. Working up from there, I suppose.

Onward and upward.

I recently lost 40+ lbs in 2 months. I cut out soda completely and have been living off of fruit2o, and have been hitting the gym 5 times a week for 35-45 minutes each time. I only run on a treadmill, tho, no weight lifting yet. Other than that I just been counting calories of everything making sure I don't take in more calories than I weigh.

You can do it man, totally worth it.

I forgot to mention, I feel much much better after having worked out for the past few weeks. I have more energy and just feel better. I've also been trying to get more active-- swimming more, hiking more and playing more games and stuff.

I just got a membership to a gym right by my house, stopping there on my way home from class today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck!

I wish I could pick what I eat... dont have many options, though. Here, we have 40 people and one lady who cooks for all of us. So you either eat what she makes or pay big $$$ for food (Europe FTL.) So, I'll just work my *** off.

I have, however, almost cut out soda completely. I have one every couple days. I mostly drink water.

Depending how much soda you drink, I think cutting out soda you'll reduce you're calories takin in daily by I think 500. 500 x 7days = 3500 which is 1 pound. So roughly you'll lose about 4-5 pounds a month by just drinking water not soda.
