Explain to me this. v. lowered cars

on the forum a lot of them are yankees and dont have the same fun and dont understand a "rednecks" way of life and how fun it is. Ive never had anyone say anything bad about my truck except on this forum. I seen a truck with probally 10" of lift on 38's in pennslyvania(sp?) and had the back window covered with the big rebel flag decal lol

I'm a yankee. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'm also what a lot of people here would consider a redneck. I still think your truck is awesome too. It's exactly the truck I want.

What exactly is articulation in the sense of vehicles offroading?
Basically how far the suspension moves up and down while keeping the tires on the ground or whatever you are crawling over.

Because moron a lifted truck with big knobby tires serves no purpose on a flat asphalt road and infact it decreases performance / handling / safety of the vehicle.

but lowering a car can improve the cars performance OFF the track unlike the lifted truck.

so the lowered car yes it is mainly for appearance also serves handling/performance benefits..

while the lifted truck just has decreased performance and no benefits aside from appearance.. Unless done properly and taken off road.

and truckers are supposed to be tough mother ****ers what do they care about gay things like appearance?

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Talk about a ton of close minded opinions in this thread. Everyone does realize that car stereo is in the same boat here. Lets parallel:

Some people buy stereos for looks (lifted trucks not taken off road or lowered cars not raced on a track). Some people use their stereo's for competition (competitive autocross or rock crawling). Some people get stereo's for personal enjoyment (ocassional mudding or autrcoss). Some people like to blend all three together.

The point is, everyone is going to have a different opinion. Personally, I think sedans should sit at factory height, sports cars may be lowered with coilovers/springs and no more than 1.5", bags/switches should not be allowed on any car as it is extra gay, 2wd trucks should not be produced, and unless a truck is being used for offroading/rockcrawling no more than a 3" suspension lift and 2" larger diameter tire than factory should be used.

If this offended anyone, just let the anger go. If you like your vehicle that is all that matters. Too many people let their ego get into the way because they believe their vehicle should be universally accepted as badass, and that just is not ever going to happen.

Oh, and herd metality is real. Watch out for it before your close minded friends make you close minded too.

I remember when we moved my moms bf had always made fun of my lowered minitruck and how I couldnt haul anything (wtf does ride height have to do with hauling anyways). It was kinda of funny when I could lift a dresser full of cloths up about a foot slide it in the bed then lift the other end slide it in and it was in the truck when it took him and 3 of his friends to lift a smaller dresser into the bed of his big *** rusty 4X4 Dodge with big *** tires.

Yes it is. The truck could get from point a to point b before the lift and the tires.
Now he's stuck with a lifted truck that wouldn't get 3 feet off road.

That's useless.
that it could... he takes it mudding.. it gets dirty as ****! infact he allready busted a rim off roading it.. bent the ever liveing shiit out of the thing... the only thing i dont like about it beeing so big is putting the yzf 450 in the bed. without ramps...

once again. not useless..
