Explain to me this. v. lowered cars

because lowered vehicles are driven by even some what normal people. lifted trucks are driven strictly by ******* wannabe tough guys, at least from my experience.
Yeah but you're in CA so it doesn't really count.

Yeah but lowered cars are meant for better performance on the race track. How many people with lowered cars actually race or even drive on a track? I bet the number is small compared to the total number of lowered vehicles.
meh, lowriding as a culture as far as i know didnt begin with the intent of track performance.

maybe its become more accepted because a lowered car is more practical than a jacked up monster?

dont let it bother you. your truck should look how you want it to. i lowered my silverado because i dont like lifted trucks, simple as that.
It doesn't bother me one bit. Its just something that I have wondered about for a while now.

I can see that. Most guys around here with lifted trucks are PRICKS. And Terra is right, i've never seen these guys trucks dirty.

I lifted my Durango bc i love the new stance with a 3 inch lift on it (aside the fact it was 84.99 lol).

Now if i had a dakota, i would drop it 1-2 inches, no doubt.

How so? As long as you don't mind jumping up into the cab, its really no different than driving any other car.

im talking about extremes...trucks with 8inch lifts stick out from the norm more so than a lowrider. so they draw more attention, plus the reduced mileage gets them a bad label from society.

because the guys who do this think bigger is better... in reality their trucks look cool but its all for show. and sometimes it makes them look like they are trying to make up for something they dont have...

because lifted trucks make it look like the owner wants to go do some hardcore offroading, yet we all know itll never even get dirty. a lowered car or truck, the owner is recognizing its a show car so we are more accepting. i dont like lowered cars tho, except impalas
You know it'll never get dirty, how?

And there are plenty of lifted trucks that are show trucks.

lol the guy with the ram dually lifted like 12 inches with 2 6 inch smoke stacks was like...5'2" he could barely get into the truck. i was crackin up

I live in the sticks and like to get in the woods to drive around on 2 tracks and play in the mud a little. So I'm gonna get a lift. Set your ride for where its gonna go.

I honestly really want to slam a dually truck one day cuz they look bad ***.

Plus, what's wrong with lifting a truck for looks? Because every guy with a lowered vehicle on 22"s is going for greater control //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

There's a difference in lifts though, some are lifted and still functioonal and some are just flat out mall crawlers.

Here's a Mall crawler, and there's a bunch of them on this site :

Then there's some that are functional like mine, you can hit the trails, go out in the snow, the mud, the mountains, every summer when i go to the beach i take my truck out on the island. I put the tires to about 12psi and go out on the beach with a ton of people in the back and have a good time all day. Some pics of a few trucks that are functional are these. None of these trucks are mine, I don't have a camera.
