Explain to me this. v. lowered cars

Why is it perfectly acceptable to lower a car or truck but yet as soon as someone lifts a truck, its labeled a stupid mall cruiser that's only built for show?

Off of the track, lowering a car/truck has no purpose. So then isn't it just for show? Why don't lowered vehicles get hassled bearly as much as lifted ones?

because lifted trucks make it look like the owner wants to go do some hardcore offroading, yet we all know itll never even get dirty. a lowered car or truck, the owner is recognizing its a show car so we are more accepting. i dont like lowered cars tho, except impalas

because lowered vehicles are driven by even some what normal people. lifted trucks are driven strictly by ******* wannabe tough guys, at least from my experience.

My truck's lifted and it gets dirty every chance I get, snow, or trails. I hit the mud once and awhile but it's a pain in the *** getten it off and it gets in everything, IMO mud isn't worth it.

Yeah but lowered cars are meant for better performance on the race track. How many people with lowered cars actually race or even drive on a track? I bet the number is small compared to the total number of lowered vehicles.

ya my explorer has some dirt on it too..im talkin about 8" lifted F350's on 33in swampers...or some guy i saw at cartoys with a dodge ram dually with smoke stacks and a huuuge life. the step was almost at my waist..

we all knew it had never ever ever been taken off road. so why the **** would you pretend?

a lifted truck has use off road, but the way people typically lift them makes them useless due to lack of flex......and the bed is unusable because of how high in the air it is!

a lowered car does have benefit on the road...safer because of control, stiffer suspension..etc

dont let it bother you. your truck should look how you want it to. i lowered my silverado because i dont like lifted trucks, simple as that.

my maverick is lowered:fyi: and I race it

the passport has a usable lift and i take it offroad!!

My car is lowered, but its stock ride height was way too high. Right now it looks more stock BMW-ish. Rides only a little firmer than stock. Much more stable, especially at highway speeds. Not all cars are lowered for show either. There are a vast amount of benefits off the track as well.
