Excursion of a woofer

the gains are at 55% though. They can't go any higher, i've tried
So the box is sealed? Try to make it bigger or go ported. The gain is @ 55% so just turn it up. I have my gains at 100% on my amp. I keep my bass nob @ 50-70% and I get more excursion out of my one 15". No audible distortion. But then agian. Mine was cheap and I dont care if it burns //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ya man u shuld of done a ported sealed off from the trunk. that shit would slam.
yep, idk why he went sealed:crap: end, save up and get a decent amp and electrical like an aq 2200 and another batt, redo ur box to a much much bigger ported box and u will:laugh: at ur old setup. seriously

uh i only have a 2v preout on my alpine....gain is at half, xover at 50, hu 26 outta 35, shit slams and stays cool, that rockford bass nob is a piece of shit just like all bass boost and i have no idea why they even have that feature:confused:

i probably should have, but i like how sealed boxes sound now. I hear alot more now than i did with my ported.
Tune lower. I aim for about 25-32hz. I cant go sealed on my sub however...group delay gets way to high even at 2.5cuft.

the **** amp goes into protect easily after 75 percent, and i can't trust it any higher than 55 percent. I am losing some voltage due to the electrical i have which just adds to the problem.

I might turn it up to 65 percent and see if it gets significantly louder in a minute. I 'll leave it on and see if it goes into protect.

what are you talking about....

Im talking about the gain on the amp not the hu. Bass nob just changes the gain on the amp remotely.

sealed boxes like lots of power. I have to send quite a bit of power to mine to hit the xmax. I'll post a vid someday when I get the **** thing put back together. (my jeep that is)

i have my LPF at 80 on the HU. I always have had it that way.

Just because subs don't move much, doesn't mean the subs aren't playing loud or properly. I've seen an IDMAX in a setup and it was barely moving but had a lot of output...this was in an IB setup.
