Excursion of a woofer

Ok, so i've been looking at youtube and some of the type r setups and i have noticed that their subs have alot more excursion than mine do. Now, first question is, does the type of box have anything to do with sub excursion or no? Second, do you think my type r's are receiving enough power ( i know i am giving them 1600 rms, but still)? Here is the video of mine, i set my gains with the dmm and everything is setup good as far as the setting so. When i look at the subs they just don't seem to flex as much as i think they could for some reason, based on the vids i have seen and stuff. Thanks.

i set my gains correctly, i get minor window flex, my head unit is turned to 62/62 since i am a believer that pioneer head units don't clip (LOL). By the looks of it, it does look weak though. \

Thats why i asked about the excursion of them

here's another vid with walk it out, it was dark and you can't see that great, but you can see the woofer. Now this is about the lowest song i have heard, that's why i made it.

Yes, box type, along with size, greatly affects excursion.

This might be a stupid question, but are your subs wired correctly? like 1 ohm instead of 4 ohms?

you might have crossover issues. And just to throw this out there some cameras capture excursion better depending on frame rate

Put a song on that is low. walk back to your subs and watch them xmax, now cover the port with something and watch what happens.

box plays a huge role on excursion... alot of the time you see huge excursion is usually below tuning freqency in a ported box....

sealed usually have the least excursion towards the lower end (depending on box size and the speaker) because the air acts as a spring... but IB setups can have high excursion too

ported boxes tend to have very little excursion at there tuning freq (correct me if im wrong)
