Depends on how much sound quality you want, if you want decently loud bass for heavier bass music, Sundown sa-12 classic would be a good one

I had many but my Hertz ML3000s are just on another level. For something currently produced I'd consider the Raven 12XL.

jeez them ravens are pricey, i guess i did say the best lol.

this was kinda for fun and kinda to help give me ideas for what to upgrade to, not ready yet but what would you go with for like the 3-400 range

There are many opinions on which sub is King of the Hill for SQ, but I have learned that a well designed and built enclosure will make entry level subs sound very pleasing.

Buy decent not esoteric quality and focus on the enclosure would be my advice. I vote for the SA-12 classic.

Enclosure makes or breaks a sub no matter how much you spend.

since we are at the point, what are the key points ensure the enclosure helps the subs.
i mean i know i need to match the airspace reccomended by the manufacturer, also heard spl guys like to go a little over that number but im not looking for spl just sq

Not my ride, sorry if I gave that impression. I can't throw benjies into a build beyond equipment and materials. I just designed the enclosure and weighed in regarding the setup. I don't roll like that. I am 57 with a 13yr old. Hence my hate or circumspection regarding esoteric audio and pricing. Somebody threw bux at the Escalade and it turned out astounding tho. Sorry... I thought I'd share. No shade intended
