Ok this is so off subject. I have a Vacuum Former I made a long time ago. If you do not know what this is it is a machine designed to form objects out of plastic using a mold of some sort.

So to get on with it. Its been sitting around the house for awhile. Have not made anything with it.

Can you guys think of some things that could be made out of plastic for car audio that you could use. If so Might just start using it again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

To give you an idea me using the machine along time ago!

Was thinking that too but did not think it would be popular. How thick Plastic would you need for it to work right? If you guys really want this I might start doing this and selling at a low cost.

I could be interested in supplying you with what you would need to make molds for preludes, my years and newer ones. maybe s2000's too, i would just have to ask a few people in my prelude group.

Could possibly get you some accord and crx stuff too!

I could make a lot of phone calls for some at-cost kicks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Okay I just watched one of your youtube videos, trying to understand how it works. so you basically lay the sheet over a mold and heat it up and cool it.

question is, can you make a sealed mold? like a complete "ball" something that is "sealed"

Answer to that is no. To sum it up. I could make a mold of a kicker panel and and form it with plastic. It will not have a back. If wanted could be fiber glassed to something or be used for the direct shape of the mold you want to make for fiber glass. I can work some way to attach it to interior if needed.

Ok I am not that great with sketch up but in my mind the mold would be more shaped as you want it since you can form almost any angle or slop.

In other words its almost like fiber glassing just with plastic. This is just to give you an idea.

This is the top. Since I am not that good at this just think what it would look like to fiber glass some pods it would be the same.

This is the bottom. It would be open not closed.

I can use any thickness up to a 1/2 inch but in my studies with thickness of plastic as it forms something its more stronger since it has a shape. You could go thin and be good with a pod.

Hope this helps give an idea what can be done.
