Eqing a sub

You could just get a larger sub instead lol.

Some subs just can't play the lows without going over what they're mechanically able to do.

12 W6v2 2.0 cft @ 31hz it gets low but it is accompanied by upper bass notes that is annoying no matter how i set the crossover, i even had the crossover at 40hz and still sound too punchy could just be my taste but i prefer to get the sub play really low and anything 50hz or higher play through the comps

You might want to try 3.2 tuned to 27hz. That might limit your upper frequency extension, get things a little less punchy, and give a little boost in the lower frequencies. It might not be as loud as your current enclosure though.

Thats why i was learning towards eqing cause i dont have room for a bigger box than current i guess i choose the wrong sub for the application however for those who like loud upper sub bass this sub is a killer im push it with a Tma 5001 500 rms.

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
