why is your piece inset from the edge, and why is the port ending so close to the corner.....

The inset for carpeting...and the port isnt too close to the corner..? If youre referring to the first pic, that was just setting up for glueing+screwing...the board was pretty much laying there

It 2 inches wide...and 2 inches from the end of the port...
