Enclosure Build: Dual-kerf port, 12" Avalanche

Alright, all finished up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Countersunk terminal on the bottom with a 'path' for the speaker wire to be countersunk as well...yes, the carpet looks horrible...definitely touched that up...

You should quadruple kerf one. I never fully understood the loading or placement of a speaker on the front baffle. Is there a reason why the sub cut out is not centered?

Looks good man
Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do you mean kerf every side of the box? Yea, would like to someday. And yes, the woofer should always be as far away from the interior port opening as possible (or at least close, no need to cram it right up against the furthest corner, just close) to avoid only part of the airspace being pressurized. Like if the woofer would have been mounted all the way towards the right side of the baffle the specs would have been thrown off because very little air to the left of it would be used effectively.

No, i was being kind of sarcastic with the quadrupedal kerf, but it would be cool to have all corners on the box kerfed along with a double kerfed port. Thanks for the info on the speaker mounting.

Gah, this thing is a BEAUT.Great craftsmanship there PS.
