thats 1 thing my HDC gives me that the Q didnt... that "pop" or "punch" on the quick notes

Everyone thinks DD/AQ subs are so loud because they reccomend a 40hz tuning. Everyone tunes to 40hz and then they are louder than a competitors sub thats tuned to 30hz.

Ive heard my fair share of DD subs and none of them have ever had the full, rich, deep sound that many other subs have. Loud? Yes. Punchy? Yes. Sounds good? No.

From my experience, the Q's like a larger sized box. I would do between 8-9 tuned to no higher than 30.

I would tune lower. My fi q 15 was tuned to 33hz and sounded like ***.

It's roughly 7.5 cubes tuned to 30hz after all displacement.
