Well I finally got my 10O.14 into a better box, I started out with a 3cuF box, but built a new one soon after I realized the sub does not like that big of a box. It's now in a .75cuF after displacement of the sub, being powered off of a Tsunami 1100db. Alpine 9815 is my HU....
Ok now to the real part of the review. I have to admit, there seems like there is something wrong with my amp or driver or maybe after using a 15A.22 for a while, I can't compare subs to that driver. Well, I think the sub is seeing about 350 @ 4 ohms. I have to admit, even though a big fan of eD and their subs. This sucker is kinda a let down. Maybe it needs more power, or my amp is broke(which is possible, cuz the logo is not lit up) and not delvering the 350 watts. I can get some decent xmax outta the sub, but it's no where near its peak.
I have some CDT CL-61s for a front stage and some Type R comps in the rear deck. I can hardly notice that there is a sub in my trunk. Does this sound right to anyone? There's no noticeable difference when I have the sub running or not. Do my comps have special SQL dust that make them real loud? Probably not. I need to get a bigger amp to see if I can get more outta this ten.
I bet when I get my Kx in, the Kx will do better with that much power. Anyone have any ideas? I am going to do some 20hz-60hz tones tomorrow with out any of the comps running to see if I can get some bass outta that sub. Stay tuned.
