O yeah and any ideas on a hu when i go active?

I've always wondered....when making a sealed enclosure for mids is their a optimum internal volume and would different volumes drastically change the sound of the woofer like a box does with subwoofers.......would porting a mid offer any benefits or even be a logical idea?
They aren't nearly as sensitive as subs to volume given that they're usually crossed close to 100hz & they're typically intended as free-air. They do perform better in some type of enclosure, specs depend on the driver.

Good rule of thumb is total depth =/

Porting would be a bad idea unless you're really good with acoustic design.

those grills look like can come off by grinding the back plastic tabs that they melted to keep them in. if you need to put them back in place for what ever reason you can drill a small hole on the little stud thats left behind and screw the grill back in place.

on this picture you can see kind of a similar tab.

thats how i screwed this back on.

they are free air but the company did recommend an enclosure volume if you wanted to go sealed.

thanks they where pretty easy.

not, lol.

i would of used a different fabric then what i used, which was a 100% polyester fabric, some people actually have better experience with it them me.because that one sagged on me no matter how hard you pulled it. it just kept on stretching lol. thats why i said on the first post i did on this thread to use cotton because when i made these.

there was no sagging and nether when i made that big enclosure, so i kind of like cotton.

but youll get your taste of all different sort of fabrics as you build more and more fiberglass projects.

When making door pods/kicks, use grill cloth to stretch over the MDF ring and supports.

done that been there. lol

grill cloth is good but it drips so much resin, it goes almost right trough it, if had to thicken the resin up to get it to go on it nicely.

but yeah it works.
