Design questions for 2 12” Sundown audio x12

Sorry if I don’t have all the questions answered but I’m learning as I go. Long story short I had someone building a box for me and ended up having some problems. I have 2 sundown x12s


Vehicle : 01 jeep Cherokee

Location in the vehicle: trunk/hatch

Space available (Length x Width x Height): up to 18”x 42”x up to 21” could go more on length and height but really don’t want to unless it’s going to make a big difference.

Subwoofer make and model: sundown audio x12

Subwoofer Size: 12”

Number of Subwoofers: 2

Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): Aero ?

What type of music do you like?: hiphop/rap and country

Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: spl

Tuning Freq (Hz): 32-39?

Volume : loud lol?

Questions: not sure if it matters but I’m going to be running a wolfram 5000.1

When you say spl. Do you want to get loud at low frequencies and all the way up? I'd tune around 30. But you'll get louder at 35, just lose those lows.
I'd do sub back port back to get the loudest.
I'd also recommend a slot port for cost saving and guaranteed bracing. You could slot down the middle and turn the port behind each sub in separate chambers. Or run a slot along the outside wall and behind both subs. These are just general statements.

You aren't going to lose any lows tuning to 35 hz. That's where I would tune to. If it's for spl as stated I'd tune higher

I’m honestly not too sure if I’m going for SPL. I just want them to hit hard. Hoping buck will help me out in that aspect.

Sorry I don’t mean to sound retarded. Kinda hard to explain what I’m looking for. I guess something in the lower frequency. From my understanding lower frequency hit harder or punchier.
