dc lvl 4 sub sound good sealed????

ok i have a friend thats too lazy to make his own profile on this forum so im askin for him.he wants to know if a dc lvl 4 sub would sound good sealed i told em i think it would sound better ported/vented but he's a sealed kind of guy and will not do ported/vented.i told em to get a Q like me but doesnt want to get the same **** as me.so would a lvl 4 sound good sealed?any input or suggestions to other subs(other than the fi q) would be great.thanx in advance

It wont. It will sound great in 4.5 net cubes tuned at 32Hz though.

It's not a sub ment for sealed. The 3 does though. And being sealed can take some power

thats what i told em but yet he insists on gettin em cus he wants 1k rms on each sub i told try some idmax subs but dont wanna pay that much for each sub

If he tunes it right he can put alot more power on that DC. I ran mine on 1400+@1. I had a level 4 15" D2 in the previously stated 4.5 net cubes tuned at 32Hz.

the level 3 will take 1000 watts rms if its a clean signal

Get the 3 with 4 coils and it will be fine on 1k

thats him i guess thats y i jus stuck with my q's and sealed em im starting aanother project in a few months will be getting some bls havent decided on what im tuning my box to tho

To many people disagree cause all they know is prefabs and manufactors specs

yea he was on dc's website and saw a recomended 1cube sealed for a lvl 4 is y he wondered if it sounded good sealed

idk sealed sounds good to me but im running 2 fi bl 12s in the near future i wanna get the best of both worlds sq/spl but dont know what size the box needs to be and what to tune it to
