crossover question

If I run a 2 component speakers (axis mount tweets) off a 2 channel amp and I only use 1 of the x-overs for both speakers, (bridge it) will this change the impedence? I have a pair of boston acoustic pro 50SE's and I dont see the point in using both the supplied x-overs if it's just being redundant. Any help would be much appreciated. PLEASE!? The speakers are rated at 3 ohms, and I want to make sure that if I bridge a single woof/tweet CROSSOVER that my amp won't see a 1.5 ohm load..

^correct. the passive crossover points are based on the load impedance. change the impedance you change crossover frequency. for example: if you halve the impedance load, you double the crossover point. this is actually safe with component speakers since higher crossover points are ok (though it could sound worse).

you don't want to bridge the amp anyway because you'll lose left/right information. you want left/right up front.

run the amp in stereo mode, wire left and right independently, use both crossovers, and you're good to go.

Thanks.. I always feel better when You stamp your approval on it K_A_H..
