if your gonna go through all that with your ****** just upgrade. try something like this it's about the same price as just replacing your ******.

Get it diagnosed first....a lot of those accords had the shift solenoids go bad. bout 320 from the dealer and it will fix your problems if that is the problem.

When it comes to transmissions, there is no 'usually'.

I would buy a manual ****** car to avoid most of the problems..

A buddy of mine has a 1990 Accord and he had to redo his ******. Being a certified Honda mechanic and all, he did it himself and by the time he was done, his cost was a bit over $1000, which seems right in line these days. If the dealer or a reputable ****** shop does it, the bill runs around $2000 for most modern transmissions.

Lordy, give me the days of a Powerglide in the junkyard for $75...LOL!

i had an oldsmoble ninety eight, year 87 cost around 800 to a new ******. 2 stacks from a dealer sounds like a total rip. better shop around.

I'm guessing that's a D Series engine you have right? D series ******'s are pretty cheap on ebay. But yeah that was just labor...I've seen some ******'s on ebay for around 3 to 5 hundred

Lol no, If its an accord it would be an F series ******. Won't be less than 1200 anywhere you go.

meh... its a honda... working on it is like putting together legos, go to a junkyard and buy a ****** ( i wouldnt pay more than $400 for an F series) then do it your self
